/&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Courier New;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Courier New;"&gt;Por Marcelo Coelho&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Courier New;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Há tempos eu não assistia nenhuma peça dirigida por Antunes Filho. Reencontro em “Policarpo Quaresma” (Sesc Vila Nova) a mesma habilidade em encher os olhos do espectador com grandes cenas de grupo, numa movimentação de massas “corais” por vezes inesperadas (é o caso de uma multidão de loucos de camisola, quando nos apercebemos que Policarpo acaba de ser internado num hospício).&lt;br /&gt;Para quem vê um espetáculo de Antunes Filho pela primeira vez, tudo deve parecer próximo de genial. De minha parte, menos do que uma característica apenas do estilo do diretor, sobressai um ar de truque.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Correrias desabaladas atravessam o palco sempre que o diálogo se arrisca a ficar um pouco chato. Cenas que poderiam ficar um pouco mais solenes ou dramáticas são estilizadas, com os atores andando de perfil em câmera lenta.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;A estilização, de fato, parece ser mais importante do que o estilo: resume-se, com efeito, a uma série de procedimentos reconhecíveis (pétalas ou confettis jogadas para o alto, objetos cênicos com rodinhas empurrados a toda velocidade, um certo empenho em esfalfar os atores ao máximo...)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Quando se tratava de encenar Nelson Rodrigues, tenho impressão de que esse jeito estilizado, a maquiagem como máscara, a gesticulação como uma espécie de dança sem música, fazia sentido. O realismo cru seria uma ameaça estética no teatro de Nelson Rodrigues, e a fala dos atores, seu modo de se moverem, de rir e de se agruparem em cena tinham o mesmo efeito daqueles nomes próprios dos personagens rodriguianos, ao mesmo tempo reais, plausíveis, e vagamente fora de foco, como numa antiga foto em preto e branco: Herculano, por exemplo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Mas “irrealizar” a história de Policarpo Quaresma, que não tinha o espírito de exacerbação suburbana das tragédias de Nelson Rodrigues, é uma opção a meu ver muito errada de Antunes Filho. O espetáculo fica parecendo uma opereta sem música suficiente, ou então um daqueles “resumões” teatrais dos clássicos da literatura brasileira exigidos pelo vestibular.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Policarpo é, como sabemos, um maluco que luta pela adoção do tupi-guarani como língua oficial do Brasil. Uma opção do diretor seria mostrá-lo assim, como uma espécie de Quixote, em conflito com a banalidade, a desonestidade e a estreiteza de seu ambiente real. Outra opção seria mostrá-lo como o único tipo sensato, num ambiente dominado pela loucura coletiva. Antunes Filho escolheu as duas coisas: é um maluco no meio de um ambiente totalmente tomado pela maluquice; Policarpo é tão caricato quanto os demais personagens. Ou melhor, a caricatura é feita do mesmo modo, tanto no Policarpo que aparece como um Visconde de Sabugosa, quanto nos outros personagens: soldadinhos de chumbo num brinquedo infantil, uma negra velha que lembra algum personagem de Chico Anísio, parlamentares de bigodão falso...De modo que a história toda se apresenta como farsa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Mas, se não há nada sério em jogo, se por exemplo a Revolta da Armada e as atitudes de Floriano Peixoto, que são foco de denúncia amarga nas páginas de Lima Barreto, aqui aparecem como uma espécie de piada sem sentido, fica um pouco difícil saber por que, afinal, escolheu-se encenar aquela história. Se nos dias atuais todos soubéssemos o que foi a Revolta da Armada, se atualmente todos conhecêssemos e prezássemos a historiografia oficial republicana, a peça serviria para desmistificá-la. Mas quando se diz que determinado episódio histórico, que desconhecemos, e que não tem nenhuma ressonância na política atual, “na verdade” foi uma farsa, entra-se na tarefa inglória de desmistificar algo que ninguém estava mistificando. É como se eu publicasse um artigo dizendo que a nova versão proposta pela teologia muçulmana para organizar a coreografia dos dervixes rodopiantes não deve ser levada literalmente a sério.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Tropas de brinquedo aparecem agitando a bandeira nacional em “Policarpo Quaresma”, como para mostrar a tolice que há em agitar a bandeira nacional para saudar o governo Floriano Peixoto.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Mas ninguém está saudando o governo Floriano Peixoto hoje em dia. Qual a “tradução” disto nos dias atuais? Que é tolo entusiasmar-se com o crescimento do PIB no governo Lula? Ou que ser anti-lulista é como ser um Policarpo Quaresma? Que Policarpo Quaresma hoje seria João Pedro Stédile? Marina Silva? Norberto Odebrecht? Que estamos tão corruptos, autoritários e atrasados como nos primeiros tempos da República?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Impossível saber; a “crítica”, que faz todos os personagens parecerem absurdos na montagem não tem adversário definido; é “crítica” abstrata, contra quem diz A e contra quem diz não-A.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Talvez se possa dizer, pensando nas últimas palavras de Policarpo, que se trata de uma autocrítica da geração de Antunes: acreditamos em ideais que não eram possíveis de realizar. Mas isso faria de Policarpo um personagem mais humano, mais sincero. E o que a peça mostra é sobretudo um boneco, um visconde de Sabugosa, uma caricatura, que não podemos tomar como real. A estilização, aqui, se torna puro irrealismo –não há nada de real com que pretendesse se contrastar; irrealismo geral, irrestrito, e no fim das contas irrelevante, como uma align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;A poesia de Welton Sousa prolifera de uma atmosfera ultra-visceral, recorrente do estado quase-escatológico da palavra. Versos arquitetados de um impulso rítmico fora dos cânones da poesia dita tradicional. O poeta, em essência, deixa brotar as palavras de seu estado primal-vertiginoso, que é próprio do processo conhecido como automação psíquica, criando uma linguagem surrealista visceralmente andrógena, em que o belo e o feio, o homem e a mulher, o vazio e o preenchimento convivem na unidade paradoxal da própria vida. Gritos fragmentados explorando o afeto do leitor, assim a poesia de Welton mostra-se. Re-mostra-se. Re-cria. Amplifica a própria condição da poesia. As palavras jorram na folha, conotando a verborragia característica dos inconformados, criando sua sintaxe própria. Amplamente metafórico, o texto de Welton possibilita ao leitor adentrar-se no universo caótico da necrose essencial, nos remetendo à própria vida não-isenta da podridão que advém do próprio caráter humano. Não é novidade na Língua Portuguesa os acordos ortográficos, de tempos em tempos, principalmente, Brasil e Portugal discutem algumas reformulações ortográficas, como a de 1971(Lei n.º 5765 de 18 de Dezembro), em que foi abolido o acento circunflexo na distinção dos homógrafos, responsável por 70% das divergências ortográficas com Portugal, e os acentos que marcavam a sílaba subtônica nos vocábulos derivados com o sufixo -mente ou iniciados por -z-. Na sua visão, qual o verdadeiro objetivo desses acordos?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;M.S.:São dois os objetivos alegados pelos idealizadores dos acordos: simplificação e unificação da ortografia. O Problema é que todos esses acordos – e o mesmo acontece com o Novo Acordo, de 1986/1990 – nem simplificam, nem unificam a língua portuguesa. Não simplificam, porque há muitas regras supostamente desnecessárias que ainda permanecem vigentes; há outras que não existiam e passaram a existir; há muitos casos de uso facultativo da grafia, o que torna, às vezes, a situação ainda mais complexa; há, enfim, omissões e imprecisões nas bases do acordo. Não unificam, pois em vários casos as diferenças ortográficas continuam valendo, o que resulta na continuidade de um vocabulário ortográfico duplo para o Português. Assim, os acordos acabam tendo mais objetivos políticos, ligados por exemplo ao prestígio das academias, à imposição de determinados modelos ortográficos etc., do que um objetivo “puramente” linguístico.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;E.M.: A unificação atinge quais países?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;M.S.: Ela atinge um total de oito países: Portugal; Brasil; cinco países africanos (Angola, Cabo Verde, Moçambique, Guiné-Bissau e São Tomé e Príncipe); e Timor Leste.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;E.M.: Na sua opinião, no atual acordo ortográfico, há uma efetiva clareza nas novas regras? Onde podemos encontrar possíveis problemas?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;M.S.: Na minha opinião, o acordo como um todo é desnecessário, pois, como disse antes, não cumpre os dois principais objetivos para os quais foi idealizado: a simplificação e a unificação ortográficas. É preciso entender a lógica de alguns fatos ortográficos para se avaliar a necessidade ou não do acordo. É o caso da acentuação, por exemplo. Os acentos existem para neutralizar as diferenças gráficas: se eu acentuo as oxítonas terminadas em -a, -e, -o (vatapá, jacaré, jiló) e as paroxítonas terminadas em –i, -u (táxi, vírus), neutralizei as variações e resolvi o problema da prosódia de boa parte dos vocábulos em Português. Ocorre que o acordo acaba se atrapalhando em alguns casos, resultando em algumas propostas vagas que nem simplificam, nem unificam. Veja o caso dos acentos diferenciais: o acordo prevê a eliminação de alguns deles, a manutenção obrigatória de outros e a utilização facultativa de outros... Cumpre perguntar: afinal o acento diferencial é ou não é importante? Qual o sentido de um acordo que propõe, para um mesmo fato, três “lógicas” diferentes? Outros problemas maiores ainda permanecem em relação ao uso do hífen: há casos em que o hífen permanece como era antes; há casos em que desaparece das palavras; e há casos em que passa a existir, onde antes não existia. E o pior de tudo é que, em razão das indefinições e das lacunas do acordo, isso se torna ainda mais difícil, a ponto de, se consultarmos três ou quatro dicionários reformados, encontrarmos formas vocabulares distintas. Dou apenas um exemplo: as bases do novo acordo definem que alguns termos devem ser grafados de forma aglutinada (isto é, sem o hífen), caso os seus componentes tenham perdido, em certa medida, a noção de independência. Ora, o que quer dizer em certa medida? Para mim, a noção de independência está presente tanto em pára-quedas, quanto em guarda-chuva, sem falar em bate-boca, cabra-cega etc. E, no entanto, muitos relutam em grafar esses vocábulos sem o hífen. Daí o relativo caos que vivemos em termos de ortografia neste momento de transição.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;E.M.: As mudanças, basicamente, ocorrem na língua oral ou escrita? Esse novo acordo também atinge a prosódia das palavras?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;M.S.: O Novo Acordo se volta fundamentalmente para a escrita, dão o fato de ser um acordo ortográfico... Isso não quer dizer que a prosódia não seja afetada, como acontece, por exemplo, com a eliminação do trema. O acordo propõe a eliminação do trema, que, de fato, já não é mais utilizado em Portugal (oficialmente) e no Brasil (extraoficialmente). Mas, no Brasil, temos duas posições distintas: ou não é utilizado conscientemente, como fazem alguns órgãos da imprensa escrita, sob a alegação de que estariam adiantando uma tendência generalizada, o que me parece um argumento sem sentido; ou não é utilizado simplesmente por não se saber como fazê-lo. Portanto, tudo conspira para sua eliminação. Ocorre que, a meu ver, o trema é um acento necessário para o esclarecimento de alguns equívocos! Qual seria a pronúncia normativa e padrão das palavras “distinguir” e “quinquagésimo” (aqui escritas propositalmente sem trema)? Só a grafia pode esclarecer que, no primeiro caso, não temos o “u” pronunciado, devendo-se grafar e falar “distinguir” (e, não, como diz a maioria: “distingüir”) e, no segundo caso, deve-se optar por “qüinquagésimo” (e, não, como diz a maioria: “quinquagésimo”). Há ainda alguns falantes que dizem “adqüirir”, quando a pronuncia e a grafia normativas é “adquirir”. Esse é apenas um dos casos problemáticos do novo acordo, ligado à pronúncia das palavras.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;E.M.: Na sua visão, quando surge um acordo ortográfico, qual o tempo de assimilação da sociedade para incorporar essas novas regras?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;M.S.: Isso depende muito de cada país: quanto maior for o empenho em se disseminar o acordo, mais rápida e fácil a assimilação. No Brasil, teremos quatro anos para nos adaptarmos às novas formas; em Portugal, seis. Mas, no Brasil, há um empenho governamental, um tour de force editorial, um apoio dos meios de comunicação para que o acordo entre rapidamente em vigência. Já em Portugal, verifica-se um esforço no sentido contrário, já que as resistências são mais largas e mais profundas. Isso acaba determinando como o acordo é assimilado por cada população. De qualquer maneira, nessa fase do acordo, ainda teremos várias dificuldades que serão sanadas aos poucos, já que tanto a estabilização das diferenças ortográficas quanto a eliminação dos equívocos do acordo necessitam de tempo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span new;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;A literatura de Rudinei Borges impressiona pela sua simplicidade, comprovando que a boa obra literária nem sempre precisa se apoiar num hermetismo estético que, muitas das vezes, não dizem nada. Por meio de uma prosa memorialista, algo que transita entre o regional e o universal, o autor, com invejável tom poético, apresenta-nos uma revisitação de seu espaço primeiro, no caso, o interior do Pará. Ao optar pela primeira pessoa, a obra adquire uma certa atmosfera autobiográfica, porém, nunca se esquecendo da possibilidade de representação que as imagens literárias nos proporcionam.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O texto de Rudinei, materializado em seu primeiro livro “Chão de terra batida”, beira o relato pessoal, misto de crônica e conto fragmentado, com perdão da redundância. Obviamente, por trás dessa economia de meios de linguagem, os textos desse livro guardam uma potencialidade infindável de sugestões poéticas, como verificamos no texto abaixo, que vai do tom impressionista-cotidiano à surpreendente reflexão existencial-filosófica:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Altar&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;Mãe rezava o rosário inteiro antes de dormir. E eu baixinho repetia as palavras da mãe: amar significa olhar para as coisas sem sentir saudades delas. &lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rudinei cria, ou melhor, re-cria sua própria mitologia, ao recuperar as figuras familiares mais íntimas, os espaços mais longínquos de sua infância-raiz, apontando para um movimento curioso de representação, que abrange o lado interior e exterior do poeta. Como uma fotografia em prosa, Rudinei nos oferece uma visita de seu mundo particular, pois só ele esteve in locus nessas reminiscências, que esse livro possui a pretensão literária de eternizá-las.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;Ps. E eu percebo algo muito mais fundo do que o viver momentâneo da matéria. Algo entre minhas memórias e o que ficará, ficou, fica... Na verdade, eu sempre percebi. Agora, tudo diluído como possibilidades alheias de um tempo presente, um tempo ausente em mim. A vida seria tão simples... tão simples... se nós percebêssemos a seriedade dos interlúdios... Sem limites empobrecedores, viveríamos ausentes de distâncias entre um prato e um sorriso, e sairíamos por aí, desejando avistar a vida seguir, sentindo os des-limites do seguir. Mas o quê? Um desejo. Sabe lá qual, todos! Palavra libertadora, todos... todas as vezes que me lembro dessa impressão semântica, acabo por desejar a essência corporal desse vocábulo aglutinador. O tempo vivido, re-vivido, não mais... Por quê? Diluímos... cheguei ao ponto inerte do meio. Tudo acabará, acabou, acaba. Mas por conta de um sebo aqui perto de casa voltei a contemplar a obra do extinto Aborto Elétrico. Explico: o “carlinhos”, chegado do comércio localizado no bairro do Jardim Santa Emília, faz umas discografias completas de várias bandas em MP3 por cinco reais. Olhe só! Eu que sempre fui contra esse tipo de coisa. Calma, não tem nada aqui de falsa moralidade, protesto contra a pirataria, ou algo do tipo, o lance é outro. Sempre gostei de pegar o CD da banda, apreciar o encarte, ler as letras, assim que cheguei à poesia. Porém, na atual situação, resolvi adquirir o produto. Fui um daqueles adolescentes fanáticos em Legião, era só falar mal da banda do meu lado, era briga na certa. Coisas do tipo: “o Renato é viado, o som dos caras é muito repetitivo etc.”. Ficava puto. No entanto, o fato é que na minha visão adolescente simplesmente tudo o que os caras compunham era muito bom, podia até ser repetitivo, mas se tratava daquela genialidade dos movimentos de minha alma. Um adolescente que nunca gostou de Legião pulou essa fase, esse rito de passagem, amadureceu sem o pré-estágio desse doce sofrimento de idealizações, utopias, amores impossíveis etc. Indo adiante... ingressei no “mundinho” acadêmico, fui fazer Letras, comecei a lecionar, pós-graduação, artigos científicos, ensaios, leituras. O fato é que me distanciei do som da banda. Não sei se por culpa de um elitismo acadêmico, ou sei lá! Bom, o fato agora é que voltei a ouvir o som dos caras, já expliquei como. Hoje, confesso que nem tudo o que os caras fizeram é muito bom como pensava, mas, de fato, o Renato escrevia muito bem. Coisas do tipo “fiz carvão do batom que roubei de você e com ele marquei dois pontos de fuga e rabisquei meu horizonte” (trecho de Acrilic on Canvas) vamos concordar, não se encontra letristas-poetas por aí, a cada esquina, com essa carga lírica-simbólica que percebemos em alguns momentos do Renato.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:courier new;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ps.
